Following the Paris agreement of 2015, nations worldwide aspired to limit the level of global temperatures to 1.5°C. However, even this cap on temperatures has widespread implications for the present-day ice mass stored in the high mountains of Asia leading to almost a loss of one-thirds of the glaciers.
